You are permitted one checked bag free of charge. It must not exceed 62 inches (length + width + height). It also must also not exceed 50 pounds.
Overweight bag charge: 51-70 pounds = $50 fee...71-99 pounds = $100 fee
Oversize bag charge: 63-80 inches = $75 fee
An overweight, oversized bag will cost you both fees!
A second bag costs you $30...and the same overweight and oversize charges apply.
All second-bag, overweight, or oversize charges are your personal financial responsibility at check-in. These charges are not covered in your course fees! Use a lightweight bag and select items from the list of things to bring that are as lightweight as possible. A diving knife (if any), scissors, pocket knife, fingernail clipper, etc. must be in a checked bag.
You are permitted one personal item (purse, camera, laptop, etc.) that must fit under the seat, so it must be within these dimensions: 17" x 12.5" x 8"
You are also permitted one carry-on bag that must fit within: Airbus A320: 26" x 18" x 12" or Embraer 190: 24" x 16" x 10". The planes we will be flying on will be announced as soon as we know this information.
Any liquids (toothpaste, shaving cream, etc.) in your carry-on bags must be packed according to TSA regulations (containers less than 3 ounces, all within one one-quart ZipLok bag.) Larger containers of liquids should go in your checked bag.

* Phone service on San Salvador is unreliable, or non-existent. Most US cell phone services do not cover San Salvador. After-dinner use of the GRC library computers for email will be the most efficient way to communicate with people at home.
